"Jade Dragon" using Yakisugi technique with carved flutes on Japanese Cedar which give the wood a three dimensional look of motion, then dyed with green shades to produce rich colour, sealed with several coats of satin lacquer, 380mm H x 220mm diam.

Swamp kauri timber with paua inlay that has been also exposed on the side of the rim as well as the top finished with French polish.  W=230mm  H=80mm  D=65

A fine piece of kauri 315mm diameter now the centre of a golden ring.

A large bowl made from London plane with 30 walnut inlays embedded in the rim. 270mm wide by 100mm high and finished in lacquer.

Coolabah Burl that wills the viewer to study the unique grain patterns. The beads turned inside draw the eye into the depths of the bowl like looking into a pond  280mm wide. A unique piece  Would grace any palatial home. 

A decorative bowl with a multi layered 'petal' rim, painted and decorated with pyrography, acrylic paint and mica pigment powder on Jacaranda timber. Finished with acrylic lacquer.  Dimensions 190mm x 60mm

This large Red Mallee burl 300mm  wide  was a joy to see evolve. Mother nature at its best.  The subtle bead and the carved feet complete the story. A woodturners dream !!!

Segmented bowl made from Black Walnut & Pine, 60 small segments and 12 large segments,.265mm wide, 70mm high. Finished with Danish Oil (Briwax)

Rather than signing the bottom I thought it would be nice to have the signature on the top. Made from Mahogany it is 430mm in dia 60mm high with a stylised inlay made from Rewarewa. Finished with beeswax.

Ash bowl precisely decorated with Purple Heart inlays in an 'ornamental' style. 230mm diameter x 60mm deep. Oil sanded and finished with wax. 

Exquisite heart Rimu plate, hand embellished and includes a pāua shell insert to further enhance it’s New Zealand origin. 265mm X 32mm, finished with sealer and Beall wax system. This piece, gifted for family member residing in the Shetland Isles.

A rough old case-hardened Red Beech burr given a second chance with the addition of an epoxy resin rim. Reminiscent of sunset at the beach.  150 Dia. X 100 H.  Epoxy, colours, iridescent powders. Mirotone pure Danish oil.

Made from Spalted Oak and African Blackwood. Finished in lacquer. 220mm High

A classic bowl of uncomplicated design, featuring a delicate bead giving way to an undercut rim and plunging interior.  The bowl size is 200 x 78, and the finish is tung oil.
