NZ Rimu 70mm sphere box. Total height 165mm. Finial and base in Pohutukawa. Finished with Danish oil.

Asian influenced pagoda box. Turned square from one piece of plum with queen ebony finial. Lid has traditional ginkgo inspired macrame tassel. The embellishment is a ginkgo branch. Finish is tung oil and citrus thinners. Box is 70 x 180mm.

A traditional Wakahuia made from macrocarpa and carved.  440mm long.

An elegant Puriri lidded bedside jewelry box, measuring 240mm high and 95mm at its widest.  The variegated Puriri finial naturally complements the box. This piece is friction wax finished. 

Red Mallee Burl, pewter finial and carved feet. Turned with turned down wings so that the grain of this exceptional wood can be truly appreciated. No need to place in the crown jewels as this is a treasure on its own    200mm across.

Swamp kauri vase and lid with red beech twig on the lid all finished in French polish.  W=100mm  H=285mm  D=93mm

This lidded vessel, all made from one block of Weeping Bottle Brush.  Width -150mm.  Height - 120mm.  Finish - Beal Buff.

Vessels as close as Maori got to 'Turned' bowls. Hollowed using burning embers. Decorated with fern leaves. Here contemporised with addition of a lid.  Swamp Kauri, 160 Dia. X 115 H. Whalebone, greenstone, burned, sandblasted. Danish oil.
